Oasis were big fans of Sons Of The Stage and the song was regularly played before their gigs. Oasis apparently toyed with the idea of originally naming the band after it.

Liam Gallagher's new band, Beady Eye, recorded a cover version in 2010 on the B-side of their single  Bring the Light. Here's a link to the video.
